Bluebird Therapy Collective was named after much reflection and play. When I began this journey, I wanted a name that showed my love of being outside. Nature is my happy place, where I feel that I can experience my full authentic self, which is what I want for my clients.
From there, I went through many iterations of names that included differing trees, flowers, and animals but I kept coming back to birds. Birding has been a part of my life since I was a little kid. When outside with my family, my father or grandmother would often point out the different birds and the noises they made from beautiful songs to funky little noises, it was a way to connect and be present. Therapy is similar to birding. In both, being present and curiousity leads to discoveries about yourself and the world around you.
So, why Bluebird? Through this process, I learned that bluebirds in many cultures represents hope and new beginnings. Therapy is just that, a hopeful new beginning.

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute video or phone consultation to determine if we might be a good fit to work together.
I tend to ask potential clients about what they are looking to get out of treatment to determine if this is something I can provide or have experience in. I also encourage potential clients to ask me questions during this call.

I do both! I have an office for in-person work in Natick, MA and I offer virtual therapy sessions for ages 10 and up. I find that for children under 10, therapy has the best results when in-person.
However, if you are interested in virtual sessions for your child under 10 due to living in a rural area or for accessibility reasons, please reach out and we can see if your child would be a good fit for virtual therapy.

We do not take insurance at this time. We plan to partner with a few insurance companies in the future. Please contact us if you would like to see if your plan will be accepted.
Not utilizing insurance has various benefits, including:
You will not have to be given a diagnosis. We understand that sometimes you may just be going through a life transition or stress, which may not warrant a diagnosis.
We are the only people to keep the records. This means that your personal information can’t be obtained by insurance companies.
Your care is only dictated by you and your therapist. Insurance will not be able to weigh in on if services are continually needed.
If you would like to use out of network benefits but unsure where to begin, I have partnered with Mentaya to support clients. They can assist with checking benefits and reimbursement.

A superbill is like a receipt that you can submit to insurance companies for reimbursement for out-of-network services. You are responsible for the full service fee up front.

Bluebird Therapy Collective requires weekly appointments to clients at the start of treatment. This cadence is essential in order to build the therapeutic relationship needed for true healing.
Changing the frequency of appointments is a collaborative decision to be addressed through the progression of the work.

I have been in the mental health field for over 10 years, my journey began working in an inpatient unit that served ages 3 and up and a teen residential center in a rural part of the country. I then attended Boston College and received a masters in Mental Health Counseling. While there, my clinical training was working with adolescents in a high school setting and in a residential/community wraparound program where I also provided family therapy.
After I received my masters, I had a strong desire to continue my education and completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at Antioch University New England in 2023. My dissertation research was exploring how women in larger bodies developed body appreciation in weight-inclusive/fat liberation treatments. During this time, I completed clinical trainings at an elementary school and at local universities.
My internship was completed at the University of St. Thomas Center of Well-being Counseling Center in MN where I gained experience working in an integrated health care system and working with eating disorders in an outpatient setting. My post doc was at Maps Counseling Services in NH, a community-oriented out-patient clinic. While there, I provided community outreach resources and therapy to children, teens, couples and adults. I finished my post doc position in the winter of 2024.
In 2025, I became a licensed clinical psychologist and launched Bluebird Therapy Collective.
